 could somebody please offer advice. I have an eden VBX 18 boiler with a fault code of 3 coming up. I have had the gas pressure checked and its absolutely fine but i have to keep resetting (about 20 times) until it eventually stays on H (heat) - i havent got the money to get a heating engineer and being a girlie i havent got the slightest idea what to do!!!!

Who checked the gas pressure?

Sounds like you already know it's an ignition/gas related problem. You'll need to get a qualified engineer to take a look at it.

Try calling the manufacturer and asking if they do a fixed price repair. I think there number is 01787 272800 but not sure. It's Halstead (Glen dimplex)

Thank you for your reply. I had a gas engineer check out the pressure and he said it was absolutely normal. I have also phoned the manufacturer that said it was either a valve or electrodes, but more likely the valve. Does anybody know if this is something that I (prob some random male friend) could fix or do i need to pay for a proffessional?

Read the sticky on DIY gas at the top of the list of threads.

It could be very dangerous if you don't have a professional do it, not to mention expensive as it could be a miss-diagnosis.
