faulty fridge freezer

My service fridge freezer is faulty. It auto defrosts its self. I think the switch inside the fridge is faulty when I hit it the fridge comes to life. I`m not sure what this part is called. It controls the temp (numbered 1-5)and has an auto defrost when the switch is turned right round. Is this part the thermostat

and does anybody know a web site I can get a new one
