Fauty Wiser HubR

Whilst what you say may be true, it remains a fact that this is about the only component I can think of other than gas sensors and storage devices that quote such a limited lifetime. Most components do not quote a lifetime.
I have never seen the failure of an electrolytic capacitor in any of the equipment manufactured by our company, but we do not make boards intended for continuous usage for many years, in hot environments.
On the other hand I recently brought my solar heating temperature difference controller back to life by replacing the largest value electrolytic, so we shouldn't pretend it doesn't happen.

Hi - I was wondering if anyone would have a clue about the issue I have been facing with my wiser hub 3 channel (WT734R1S0902)
I have two heating zones controlled by two danfoss hpa2 valves (combi boiler hot water on demand)
So I only use channel 1 (zone1) and channel3 (zone2).
Since purchase very very intermittently the hub will flip the channel3 switch when there is a schedule flipping channel1 switch.
Chnanel3 / zone 2 is seldom ever used as it stays quite hot up there in that "zone".
And the most busy channel is #1 with trv's etc and different rooms with different scheduled firing on and off...

After 2 years of troubleshooting this issue which as mentioned is very random....I have disconnected the live feed from the hub channel 3 to zone 2 motor valve and the issue so far has not returned for a few days (al though I am leaving it for one week like this to be conclusive (it usually happens at least once a week)....

All wiring, and operation of systems external to the hub has been checked and validated as being spot on with no issues with wiring or hardware...

I am engaged with support at drayton uk for the past 2 years on this and right now the only thing that can cause this is the hub and wondering if the board can build up some static charge and leak power to the channels that should not be active thus triggering the motor to spin (which opens the valve on the headers for zone 2, and in turn the way the danfoss works is the motor has a cam on the back which mechanically flips a switch which then fires the boiler pump to operate..

The ONLY thing that can control this motor in the danfoss hpa2 is the live switched feed form the hub on one of its channels...

This issue has been driving us crazy waking up to 30c heat in a room randomly that is always set at 17c on the wiser thermostat...

If any one has any advice about hardware issue on the board that can cause this would be really great, failing that the only other thing it could be is a software issue (which drayton support have ruled out so I have been told also they never see a call for heat on channel 3 during the times it was activated by the hub...)
