We have a Redcare line in monitoring our alarm. the phone socket on the redcare box works if you connect a phone to it and you can make calls. But a fax machine wont work even if I use a Microfilter. It just keeps ringing and not connecting , any ideas?

ther is a device that you have to put in line with the RDCARE and your fax,
speak to your alarm provider (sorry this is not a job a DIYer should be doing)
we also never reccomend using a fax or other data handling device on a REDCARE line, it can cause a few problems at the panel end as well at the ARC

Some fax machines are compatable with redcare,try ringing redcare support and ask there advice,i had this problem on a fault i was working on a few years back,the eu ended up having another line installed for the fax.
