Hi all,

If my house extension project begins construction in February, so foundations being dug, brick laying, concrete being poured, etc. are there any concerns about frost / freezing damage to concrete or masonry? How would you mitigate against that? Or, is it best to begin building 1st March instead? I have some options so want to ensure best outcome.

Would appreciate any advice.

Thanks

Pointless postponing from feb to march - biggest risk to foundations is heavy rain. Brickwork might be a bit impacted by frost, but impossible to know if/when that’d happen so I’d crack on with earliest possible start
