Feeding a new lawn

Hi Guys,
I laid a new lawn 8 days ago out of turf, it's looking great so far, my question is........ how long before I can feed it as opposed to just watering it

You're keen! I would leave it at least 6 weeks maybe 8 weeks. I am presuming that you fed the soil before laying the turf? If you feed it too much at this stage it will not have the root structure to take up the nutirients and so most of it will be leached from the soil anyway. Especially with the amount of water you will be putting on it at the moment.

You want the grass to go and search out the nutrients that are in the soil and establish a good root structure before hitting it will feed.
