I have recently installed new hit and miss fences, a bespoke build based on redwood UC4 treated landscape battens.
I really like the original colour of new redwood and I would like to avoid as much as possible the natural silvering and colour change.
What kind of product would you suggest to protect the wood and preserve the finish? I am looking for something that keeps the natural look (so nothing shiny, reflective or clearly visible).
From a quick search, I have found an oil for vertical surfaces, called Syntilor that is guaranteed 10 years, but beside not being easily available in the UK, it is not clear to me if it creates a transparent film on top of the wood (I wouldn't like it).
