ferroli optima 701

hi, can anybody help me as i have problem with my ferroli optima 701. i have been away and turned the boiler off but i cannot restart it. i wait for the fan to start and depress the knob but cannot hear it sparking the boiler is calling for heat, air switch, pump and pcb seem to be okay. In the past it started first time everytime, if you have any suggestions on how i can find out what the problem is would be appreciated. I want to use this boiler until the summer and then change it as i will be having a new extension built.

Is the fan stiff?
Is it getting any power?
Can you hear a chattering relay? ... Top right relay on the PCB .. number 4 I think

yes, the fan is working, sounds normal and can hear the relay buzzing for 2-5 seconds then normal,the problem is it used to do this before and i could put the pilot light straight on. thankyou all in advance for helping me in this matter

Theres a fault finding guide in the Manufacturers Instuctions, available here in the 'Downloads' section.

Could be a pcb fault. If you cant figure it out from the instructions then you are best to get a decent heating engineer in to sort it out. PCBs for these are quite expensive and a misdiagnosis by yourself could be costly.
