As some will know FFX went into administration late last year which was quite a blow to the trades people in and around the folkestone area and left a gap.

FFX was originally Folkestone Fixings and was founded by a chap called John Drinkwater who built the business and then sold it hence the name change.

Shortly after FFX went under John opened JDW Tools & Fixings and employed his loyal staff with a shares incentive, from the earlier days of Folkestone Fixings to run the shop.

So once again I have the assurance of a one stop shop for my tools and Fixings rather than having to drive here then and everywhere.

The online part I believe is still in its infancy, but it's nice to be able to visit a shop where the staff understand our industry.

I know this but unfortunately ITS only have 3 branch's around London and didn't acquire "to my knowledge" any of the FFX Branches or staff.

Its nice to see the original founder of Folkestone Fixings reinvesting in our town and giving his loyal staff a future and others thereof. He doesn't need the money he is just bored " his words not mine". and I can continue to do business with people I grew my business with.
