My car keeps misfiring I have replaced all 4 coils and spark plugs and still happening

Today I also got a code for the manifold sensor I'm wondering if they are linked?

I have paid 100s already and really want to know where to go next.
It's a fiat 500x turbo 2018

You didn’t diagnose the issue. You threw parts at it.

Any codes for the misfire?

It can. What was the code?

Just saying, with the car misfiring, it will eventually damage the catalytic converter.

Did the spark plug on cylinder 4 have oil/crud on it?

You need to determine whether fuel, spark, or both are missing for cylinder 4. As you already changed the coils and spark plug make sure you have VCC to that coil with the ignition switch on, and that the ECM is pulsing the ground side of the coil circuit to fire the coil.

A logic probe or LED can be used for this note a test light shouldn't be used to check for ground pulse because it can cause damage to the injector drivers in the ECM if it causes high current flow because of low resistance through the bulb filament.

Swap the injectors from any of the banks to cylinder 4 and see if the fault goes.

Yes we have swapped them over to see if the cylinder fails or where they have been swapped too
Not sure why the sensor fault came up said was performing at 35 degrees
To be honest I have no idea what that means. Not car savvy so I am struggling not to get ripped off with repairs

There hard to come by never know who you can trust
Would the fuel injector affect the cylinders and sensor ?

Would the fuel injector affect the cylinders and sensor ?
Yes it can but will need to be checked first.

With the car turned on, let it idle and remove the oil fill cap. Can you feel a vacuum? Is there a considerable amount of air?

Do you mean take the oil cap of and feel air coming out?
Sorry I am not car savvy at all , still learning
I have only ever had honda or Toyota and I regret changing as has no issues before

Sorry one last question this was reported...
  • eml light showed map sensor fault. intake manifold temp showing 35 degrees c.
What does this mean is it to low or high?

It could be the sensor or the wiring. No one can say for sure without testing. The degrees is likely to do with when the code was set.

Back to step 1.

Who diagnosed the faults? Was it the same people that changed parts? Have you been back to them? What have you been told?

Diagnosed at Halfords garage
Been in 3 times replaced all plugs and coils
Today got error in cylinder 4 and manifold code
Noone seems to know where you go next
Load of mechanics just scratching their heads. Clueless
