Fiat 500x misfire

Plug colours can only be considered accurate when they are checked after a run.......the fuel used is automatically adjusted from a cold start so they may well be black at this time.
Oily threads? Maybe the plugs weren't fully tightened, but naturally enough your engine mustn't produce any blue smoke at any time.
Do you need to replenish the oil level at any time?
If the car was mine, I'd start again with a new set of plugs and coil packs - fitted by someone else. For sure you aren't getting very far with this one!
John :)

Been charged yes
For 5 by Halfords.
In November changes 4 then said in January needed another one ( didn't even think to argue about warranty)
Now again said I needed another 4 by independent garage

I don't really understand why you haven't been back to Halfords if you have been charged for......

Diagnosis
Repair
Repeated repair of same part(s), and issues.
Same issues occuring with no difference after there diagnosis and repair.

They have a head office which you should contact, with all your information, and ask why you have been reperatedly charged, fobbed off and still not repaired. Assuming we have all the details

I have complained and got email back saying they completed the work and sent me a pic of 2 ignition coils that were supposedly mine
I have made another complaint and waiting to have this looked into
I'm not letting it go bit also not taking my car back there so need to get to route of problem if it happens again
Iy is impossible to speak to someone

Very slick of Halfords to have your coils standing by......yeah, right!
Get what you can from them - if anything - and move on to a good independent garage.
That doesn’t include tyre fitting outlets either......
From experience I fit a full set of new coils, and include plugs too. Clear any fault codes and start from scratch.
Regards
John

A continued contact at halfords head office, complaining (correctly) about the work done, and why it was (their diagnosis), and why the local garage just ignored you, should result in action. Keep to facts, and keep emotion out of it. Ask for completion of the work or a refund

But don't tell the garage what to fix. Ask them to diagnose it and repair it.

Yes I thought the same that they had my coils ready to be photographed
Also only 2 when I had 4 changed supposedly and no pics of any spark plugs!
They are really pushing back on taking any responsibility.

They will push back . You have to decide whether to carry on or put it down to experience and tell everyone you know not to use Halfrauds. Post a review on trust pilot and tell everyone they are crap.

They'll keep fobbing you off from halfords head office, that's their business model.
I bought tyres from them once because they had best price, but they had to be fitted.
I asked to take away the tyres but they refused and i let them fit.
They didn't replace the valves which were specifically included in the price and used balancing weights in places that were visible.
Took car to my trusted local, fixed all of that (balance was out on 2 wheels as well) then complained to halfords and sent them the £60 bill.
Only when I threatened them with county court they refunded me.
Unfortunately you have no clear proof that they've not done the job, so I would leave it and concentrate on getting the car fixed, unless you don't mind email wars.
Stay away from them.

Oh I'll be happy to take it all the way
... It's £800
I can cope with email wars they will get so fed up with me they will know my name

Yes, take it to county court.
I've had advice from the consumer action group forum in the past and they were spot on, very knowledgeable and they help you all the way, for free.
Google it.
