Fiat Scudo Question - How To Remove Water From Fuel Filter??

In the handbook for my 04 Scudo 2.0 JTD, it says to drain any water that may have built up in the fuel filter.

Does anyone know how I can do this?

Water is heavier than diesel, so it will settle at the bottom of the filter bowl.

I would expect to find a draincock or drain plug at the bottom of the filter bowl.

If you drain some fuel from the filter into a clear container, you will soon see if it is contaminated.
