Hello,
I've recently had an internal boiler flue removed which used to run up through the inside of the house and vent out of the top of the roof ridge via the loft. With the flue now removed the vent is now directly "venting" into the loft.
I can't get access from the inside of the loft easily due to the construction of the vent and roof supports.
The vent remains weatherproof however I am worried about animals getting inside the loft.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how the vent can be sealed from the outside? I was wondering about filling it with expanding foam. Access is quite straightforward to the exterior due to a flat roof below.
Some photos below to give better context.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.
