Hi,

As shown in the picture, I have a 1 1/2 inch gap between door frames either size of a new internal door way knock through.

What’s the best war to fill it? I thought maybe with expanding foam then skim for a flat finish?

Thanks,
Marley

That looks really weird.
It’s not easy to see what’s in line with what.
I’d be more tempted to use mortar and some wood blocks then cover with thin mfd up to the door stop.
What’s the floor look like?

The floor isn’t in yet. The wood panelling on the far right is inline with the black frame. The gap in the middle is set back about an inch.

If you foam and skim the plaster will crack in short order. Extend the lining or redo the plasterboard reveal and beads
