I am updating the lounge in our 1970's house and there are quite a few long cracks which need filling and there will be a smallish chase to fill. I stripped the wallpaper and coving off and have opened up the cracks with a shavehook. I have read on here that Toupret is one of the best fillers to use but am not sure which one of them to go for. Also should I prime the cracks with SBR and let it dry before filling?

You can fill when Sbr is sticky although most of the time it's 100% dry.

If you have PVA use that. Pot of wood glue 3 to 1 with water will seal cracks prior to filling with toupret. It's fine if 100% dry

Thanks for that.

I'm thinking I should not go for the quick dry one as I have three walls to do.

Is it as good as they say or will I get some cracks coming through after a few months?
