I am planning to remove a 10 foot long internal plaster board wall. The ceiling boards run up to each side of the wall framing. What is the best way to cover the 4 inch gap which will be left in the ceiling once I take the frame down?

Plasterboard over the gap, should be able to slot in a timber to secure too, then skim.
