and was wondering if it was best to fill this gap so it blended better or just follow the contour of the board?
I'm thinking fill the gap as it will look better?
Just read about the easyfill. That was plan B actually. I had a go at the two coat method. Just a small area but trying to fill that gap was tricky for a rookie.
Once second coat was on I left it for 15 mins then tried to flat it out but it was picking up a bit so guessing I should have tried to flat it earlier. Obviously the bit i filled was fair bit thicker than the rest.
I didn't use a straight edge as I had already made enough mess!
Might have to easy fill some imperfections.
I did the other three sides tonight but only got one coat on as ran out of time had to take kids to light show.
Some bits ok and some bits rougher than tarzans feet. I tried to fix a bit with a brush and just made a mess. Picture attached.
I found it difficult to get in the swing with such small areas and corners etc
Can I stick some easyfill in the dodgy bits or will I have to wait a while?
I reckon next time should go on better.
