I have built a gate which i am really happy with however to make it perfect i want to fill the small gap around the joints where the horizontal rails meet the vertical end most. I have primed the gate grey ready for its grey topcoat and the gaps are more obvious now than when it was bare wood although still only small.
Any ideas what should use.

Car filler, goes off rock hard in minutes, sands well and can be bought from your local Halfrads.

Yes really. There is a product called wudfil which I've used in the past which is exactly the same product as car body filler the only difference being that it comes in a range of colours.
I suppose the real answer would have been to make sure your joints were square and tight fitting before you put your gate together and to make sure you cramped it all up but everyone gets the odd gap at times

Yeah, a master craftsman may not be particularly happy with my end result but considering i dont do a lot of woodwork, and i dont have all the best tools i am happy. as i said, the gaps are only small and i just want it to be perfect. Have just ordered some car filler off ebay.
