My bath hot tap has stopped operating (turning the tap has no effect), so I reckon that it needs a new tap body. However, I'd like to keep the same taps. Unfortunately, they were a fitting when I got the house, so I have no idea of the make. Please help me find a replacement!

the body has a standard 3/4 inch fitting, but also has a 23mm thread in the middle for a tapering cover to screw onto, and the shaft is quite long and wide, 9mm diameter and it extends up to 13mm from the barrel of the body.

Here are pictures of the whole tap unit (with temporary replacement tap on left) and the body:

Take it with you to the sheds or plumbers merchants and try and find like for like.
Are you sure it can't be freed off using limescale remover, and silicone grease.
New washer too :)

Thanks for the reply.

The tap turns but no water comes out. I think that a bit has sheared off the end of the shaft, but I don't know where it is...

And I tried a plumbers merchant this morning but they didn't have anyhting like a match, but thats where I got the temporary fix from
