I hope that some wood working pro might be able re finding a router bit to re-do numerous cut ends of some oldish oak t&g flooring. A friend will lend me his router and table but having had a surf I cant see any router bits that would do the job.

The wood I have is 20mm thick. The top section before the tongue is 8mm then the tongue is 7mm thick, before the bottom section which is 5mm thick. Can anyone help re where I could but a router bit set that would accurately replicate this. It needs to be exactly those measurements so as to match the other existing sections.

Thanks for any help. If the rules dont allow posting a link to a co that would be able to help then a PM would be fantastic. Thanks guys

Thanks big all- I think Im after a UK co though as I would prob need to talk to someone on the phone.

I have just re-ckecked my measurements and they are slightly out. Th wood is 19mm thick: the top section is 8mm, the tongue 6mm, the bottom section 5mm.

Matt - use a tongue & groover set (Trend do them) in the router table. You'll find that what you think is a 6mm tongue is infact ¼" (hence the 6.35mm groover in the set) Careful set-up with both groovers on the arbor AND a loose packing piece of timber to lift the oak when appropriate will allow both tongues and grooves to be cut without adjusting the cutter in the router. Various spacers and shims are available for fine adjustments. If you get one of these and want more info on technique post again.
