Hi all - I'm fixing ledgers to my house for my deck using through bolts - I've done 2 so far but they were off a new extension, and because i had photos of the build and a door to go off I could work out where the DPC roughly was. But I need to put one on an older part of the house (block construction, prob approx 20 years old) plus bracket one more length of timber. I've shown in the photo the 2 heights the bolts need to be with the two lengths of timber. If it helps you can see where a pipe is coming out the wall (there's a bathroom on the other side, and this is from the shower drain, so already quite low). Excuse the mess in the photo, a building site atm! Ive thought about knocking the render off but i'm worried more will come off than I wanted and leave me with a repair job.
