Finish for w/proof plasterboard

Im in the process of dry lining my bathroom ceiling with w/proof plasterboard and was wondering what would be the best cost effective/DIY finishing solution. Im no good at plasterering so thats out of the question.

How about tape the joint and fill the hole with easi-fill then paint it? A nice flat ceiling.

Easi-fill, is similar to Polyfiller /artex filler?

I suppose so but easi-fill is made by the plasterboard manufacter, see this and you can also get stick-on mesh tape for the joint.
