hi all, I have a pocket door that only allows for architrave up one side & over the top of the door (L shape).

There is no frame work at all on the wall which the door closes/butts up to. It is just bare wall.

My issue is how do I separate the 2 rooms (bathroom & hall) seens as there is no frame or pillar there.

They will be painted in 2 different colours, obviously I can’t just run a line there with 2 different colours!

I can’t move the pocket door framing as it has all been boarded, plastered & painted, and bathroom floor tiled to suit the opening.

The doorway is only 27inch so if I put in a false pillar (to allow framing/architrave) the doorway would be super narrow.

Thanks

Similar to this photo I found online.

Imagine when the door is open/in the pocket there is absolutely no frame/architrave etc

The issue is it is essentially one wall but 2 different rooms/colours.

I’m looking for ideas how to sub divide this tastefully for when the door is open
