I require some urgent help please
we have just rewired HMO property over 3 storeys ground floor, first floor and the loft.
We have installed to building regulations i.e. smokes in each area with emergency lighting.
the property now all finished i.e. plastered and painted with just the carpet to be fitted.
had a phone call form the owners that the company who are going to take over the HMO have failed the property due to being 3 floors it requires a Grade 1 Fire Alarm ( the company have their own criteria)
My question is all the smoke alarms and heat detector are wired in twin and earth cable. Are the interlinked mains detectors compatible with a fire alarm system and do they all need to be rewired in a fire rated cable?
Any help will be appreciated
