Looking for a bit of advice..

Got a client who has a building which has a panel fire alarm system throughout.

G/F & basement is a shop, 1st & 2nd floor is a flat. Both have seperate mains feeds & they don't share access.

He is looking at selling the leasehold for the shop and wants to split the fire alarm - oh & it's wired in T&E not pyro or fp100.

My thoughts were to keep the panel system in the shop (rewire in fp100) & put a standard domestic system in the flat.

What do you think??

Probably best to seek the advise of the fire officer.

They may want the system to cover both the flat and the shop so if a fire starts in the shop the flat occupants are warned and vice versa

RF, my thoughts exactly.

It's just not like your standard flats with shared access

Also the shop is a book shop and it's rammed to the hilt with fire fuel!!

I'd definatly seek advise then.

Fire officers usually go out of their way to be helpful if you ask for their help. It is when you dont that they can cause you problems.
