I am refurbishing a building of four flats. Each flat entrance is a fire door. Must these doors be fitted with a self closing device?
Also the front door to the flats does this require a self closure?
Edited to add:
The building is a large two story house that was converted to four flats about three years ago. The then property developer went bust, the flats were never occupied. All four flats have been vandalised over the years and I have been asked to do the repairs.
The new owners are new to the task of being landlords and have asked me to oversee the whole job.
I have employed a roofer, glazer, electrician. The repair; painting and decorating will be done by me and my labourer.
Where will I find the regulations regarding fire safety in self contained flats?
The only communal areas are the landings and stairs.
Any advice links appreciated.
Edit:
The flats will be rented out.
