looking for web site which give advices on fire escape regs
do fire needs access from both sides or can there be only locked from the inside so exit can be via fire escape locks also looking for different types of locks which are available and can be used on different types of fire doors

The building regs are your first point of call for the basic regs, tis not for the faint hearted though: http://www.planningportal.gov.uk/Pp...gportal.gov.uk/uploads/br/BR_App_Doc_B_v2.pdf

They can be locked from both sides and they need no ironmongery on the outside but must be openable by a non key operated method eg push bar or thumbturn etc from the inside so that you don't have to rely on the keyholder in an emergency. Obviously they can be linked to the burglar alarm though. Any ironmongery supplier will be be able to supply ironmongery for use on an escape door.
