I have to route the ventilation of my extraction from my new downstairs cloakroom through my garage.

Does anyone have experience of this?
What is the best option:
Box in a standard vent with plasterboard or a rigid fire resistant pipe?
How much plasterboard is required for 1/2 hr fire resistance?
Any suggestions of suitable pipes would be appreciated.

Cheers in advance
Shandy

i dont know of a specific 30 min firerated piep but i would imagine cast iron would be a good start - might not be air tigh though

2 layers of 12.5mm plasterboard with staggered joints and skim is normallly ok for 30 min fire resistance
