I've exposed the brickwork in my fireplace and I wondered if I needed to treat the brick at all to withstand the heat? I have log burning fire stove so most of the heat will be contained but wondered if I needed to seal the brick at all?? Picture below:

The bricks wont be a problem they're non-combustible and when fired will have withstood temperatures way higher than your log burning stove could produce. The coating on the white wall could be a problem if its plasterboard (Not the pink fire rated stuff) or a scratch coat and plaster that may have contained horse hair etc. The stove your using should have a minimum distance between the stove and combustible materials. In reality I can't see it being a problem though but worth considering.
