Hi everyone.

Had the whole room plastered but plasterer didn’t bother with making the fireplace reveal tidy as he was out of beads and this was in the height of lockdown with no where open so I said not to worry as we are getting a new fireplace fitted.

Situation has changed and we’re no longer getting a new fireplace so now left with an untidy fireplace reveal! Anyone got any suggestions on how this can be made good without skimming the whole wall again as really don’t want to have to do that!

The chunks missing in the picture are where I’ve hacked off the excess.

Cheers

the possibilities are endless.
might be easier if you had an idea of what you want it to look like?

Hi benny, thanks for the reply.

just want the opening to look neat and straight like the one in this picture.

The actual inside of the fireplace is going to be tiled so not worried about that.

Cheers

the right side looks bowed? or is it the picture

It is slightly bowed as the bricks in the fireplace are bowed and the plaster is just following the line of the bricks if that makes sense
