first fix plumbing for kitchen

I am about to start my first fix plumbing.

I will need hot and cold feed for taps
cold feed for outside tap
dishwasher/WM supply

Is there a point at which it's best to bring the pipes into the cupboard behind sink?
Do most people bring pipes in at the middle of the unit, or to one side? Is it best to just put an iso valve on the hot and cold feed for now and then do more pipework once taps are in?

i am going to drill the hole for waste pipe once the kitchen sink is in, so i can drill a more accurate hole once kitchen sink waste (and insinkerator) is installed

Any other tips?

If you can access them later then bring into room and cap off or fit an iso. Then do 2md fix when you know where they are gonna be needed, when units are ready to go in.

I know where the units are going to be going, i've put a line on the wall where the sink unit will be. At the moment the hot and cold taps are near the boiler, which are only about 20cm to the right of where the sink unit will be.

I could possibly bring the pipes across a further 40cm so they'll be coming into the units (from backpanel) approx 20cm across? I could put a stop end on, and once sink and taps are in i can adjust as required?

I like to bring in all pipework low down into units, usually aiming for hot and cold to be directly below where taps will be.

I did such a nice job, brought the pipework up in the corner unit,

and then found that the pullout unit for the corner needed to go right where those pipes came up. Had to cut them out and bring them up in the sink unit.

If you know where sink unit is going bring them to there and leave at low level until unit is dry fitted.

Currently, the cold feed is 30cm above current floor level, and hot feed is 50cm above floor (as can be seen in pic with stop ends on)

The edge of the sink cabinet will be just to the right of the cable coming out of the wall

Is it best to just keep them at this level and bring them across to where the sink unit will be and pop an elbow on and cap them off for time being?

Just extend cold feed across and bend hot feed down until at the same height (hot on left and cold on right). Bend pipe or use elbows to bring pipework into base unit and fit isolating valves. Carry on when kitchen is fitted.

They look OK where they are

Depends on where you want to place any shelf in the unit.

Move them along and bring the cold up to meet the hot and then put and elbow on them both and add more pipe so there is tail on each pointing out towards the room with a cap on each. Then as the unit is being moved back, cut a hole where the pipes will fit through, do the same for the sink waste. Fit the carcase then cut and elbow the supplies up with an ISO on each ready for the sink, adding any tee's for appliances or outside tap etc.
