Hi Guys,

This is my first post so go easy ;)

I've just brought my first house and I need to attach this blind to my backdoor to cover the window. Ideally I want to attach it somehow above that bit that sticks out on the door just above the window, its the right size I'm just not sure how to attach it as the blind is not designed for that kind of fitting from what I can tell.

Would I just drill through the two sides of the metal blind and into the door?

Would I have to fit something to the door first then attach the blind to that?

Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated I'm a total beginner here!

Thanks :)

What brackets came with the blind? Ideally you want to fit those to the door somehow.

Problem is the brackets are designed to attach the blind to surfaces above and to the side of it and I'd like to attach it just above the glass (above the border bit of the window) so I'm not sure where to start! :)

Can't you use the bracket you would use to fix to surface above, but screw through the side and into the door frame instead?

Looks like a composite door so thats fine to fix to, as long as you not trying to fix to the architrave itself you will be fine.
Should be 3-4mm of fiberglass to fix into the rest will most likely be a foam filled core.
