Can anyone recommend a suitable sealant to seal between mortar and pond liner in a small water feature/pond? I've already bought some on eBay – PU18 by BondIt but even though many sellers advertise it as 'koi pond safe', having received it, the 'Limitations' on the reverse say not suitable for aquaria! So pretty annoyed and the seller said that they approached the manufacturer and they said:
"It’s OK for jobs where it is submerged, but it does have some materials that may solublise and affect the water quality which could affect his fish.
IF the guy is only using a small quantity in a large pond, then there shouldn’t be a problem but it will be up to him to decide whether it is worth the risk."
Mmmm, so not convinced as it's a D shaped shallow pond and sealant required all around the curved part of the D.
Any help appreciated.
