Hi there, can anyone tell me how to fit a roller blind e.g. are they simple to fit and cut? The one I have purchased is made up of very thin strips of bamboo-like material just from Argos. Many thanks.

To trim it you'll need a Stanley knife and a straight edge. A board or cutting mat or piece of scrap hardboard will protect the dining table top. A lot of the B&Q roller blinds have a cardboard or thin aluminium roller. The carboard ones are best cut with a fine tooth saw (same as the bottom slat if it has one) whilst I've had success cutting the ally ones with a pipe cutter - just be very gentle applying the pressure and use a sharp cutting wheel.

Hope that helps

im lazy ,i cut my bamboo blind with a circular saw. it worked but the edge is quite jagged.

And I'll bet you didn't sand it afterwards, either!

masking tape on both ends, cut with junior hack saw

cut equal amount off each end, other wise "fittings" will be to one side

Depending on the thickness of the bamboo, I have had success in the past using a decent scissors. Well, it was decent before I cut the bamboo anyway
