Fitting a loft ladder

Is it easy enough to fit? Got the measurements of the hatch and height of ceiling from floor. Found a magazine with ladders in it. The hatch isn't on hinges

The specifics will depend on the make/model (and it will come with fitting instructions?) however the following will give you an idea (and if it doesn't, try typing 'fit loft hatch' into YT for more vids.)

 
Assuming you mean you're aiming to fit something like the £79 one in your catalogue they just screw into the trimmer or joist on the short side of the opening. Then just collapse up into the loft out the way, reached down with a pole. When they're stashed away they sit above the existing joists allowing you to push up/open the hatch as normal.
