Hi

Looking to fit a vertical radiator in our kitchen extension. There are already pipes ready to take a radiator 48cm apart. However, there are a couple of issues:

The freezer door opens where the radiator would go- would it be possible to extend the connectors right about 5-10 cm so the radiator could be placeded where it wouldn't block the door.

This would mean the radiator would block the light switch. There is already a switch 2 other switches for the room, but would I have to cover the switch over or just leave it?

Owing to the small amount of room to put the Radiator, would one around a 1500 btu lower than needed even be worth it? Estimates are that the room needs between 3500 and 4000. It's not freezing in there, but it's not the sort of place you'd want to hang around in on a day like today.

Thanks in advance

A plinth heater is probably a better alternative - gets past the door, light switch and under-rating problems all in one go.
