The previous owners of my house replaced the boiler that was in the bathroom airing cupboard with a combination boiler, puma 80e which is now downstairs in the kitchen. I'm not sure what tanks I have in the loft. I think one is empty or out of use. I would like to fit a shower cubicle in the airing cupboard space. Is there a minimum space requirement to fit a shower cubicle?

yes the shower tray.

i have a potty puma 100e, so that makes all your loft tanks redundant

Look at any of the on line plumbing suppliers and they will list shower tray sizes. Standard sizes are 760mm sq , 800mm sq and so on. The tanks in the loft should be redundant. To check this turn off the cold water main at the stop cock and then see if any of your cold taps still run, or if the toilet still fill after you flush them. If they do then they could still be connected to a storage tank.
