Hi everyone, I'm new here and looking for some advice. I’m planning to remove a non-load-bearing partition wall between my bathroom and bedroom to create a storage area without taking up space in the bedroom. The bathroom is dated and spacious enough to lose a bit of room to fit a built-in wardrobe in the newly expanded area. Where to start? Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping out!

Well... Thanks for the reply! Could you explain why? I’d really appreciate any specific reasons or insights. Thanks in advance!

I don't know what foxhole's on about but do you have any specific questions, your post is a bit vague.

Odours and damp spreading around?

If the bathroom is too big, why don’t you move the wall to accommodate the wardrobe

You still need a wall on the bathroom side, or at least something to put plasterboard on for painting.

I suppose if you are having a wardrobe the whole width you could make the back of the wardrobe out of 2 layers of 18mm plywood, to which you could screw plasterboard

good point about odours and damp. I would defo consider whether is worth it... Actually, the bathroom is not too big, its just about to take 40 cm (including the thickness of the existing wall) to fit a regular Ikea wardrobe of 58cm depth. Thanks

Err well yes that is bonkers, I naively assumed they meant take down the wall and rebuild it further into the bathroom.
