Fitting an in wall shower

Re-doing the bathroom and the other half likes the looks of those showers above the bath, where there is a circular control tap and then a few feet above, the shower head.

Questions:
Are these expensive or cheap? (quick look on B&Q, couldn't see them)
Easy to fit?
Can you fit it into a plasterboard stud wall, or should I build out a thin frame to hold the pipes, circular tap and head etc.?

I do like the look of them, as it all looks neat and hidden, running off the mains water (very good powerful quick boiler). But my DIY is so so....

I will have the trusty dad on board who is quite good at plumbing, done his own bathroom, shower room etc, but I want to have done all the reading, perp before I go and speak to him
