Hi all.
I have a modern style house with a garage attached to the side and it has a pitched tiled roof. The garage is only one skin of bricks thick but I want a door in the back if the garage to be able to get bbqs e.t.c. out easier in the summer.
An external upvc door would fit in the back of the garage but how easy a job is this to do? From the measurements I've done it would leave around 5 courses of bricks above the frame. Would I need a lintel to support these e.t.c? Also I take it, it would just be a simple case of fitting a sill at low level and then I believe just screwing the frame into the blockwork then sealing?
Any advice welcome.
Cheers.
