fitting granite hearth

First time ive used this site hope someone can help.
i plan to lay apiece of granite 30mm thick for a hearth .It will be laid on the constructional hearth ,i would like to know what to bed it with? is morter ok ?.I want the granite to be level with finished wood floor which is 18mm ,subfloor is 18mm ,so the bed will have to finish at 6mm .Thanks in advance

I would use concrete adteseve once applied to block or concrete you have to break to remove also is applied with caulking gun no mess

is morter ok ?.

mortar will be ok. just be sure to mix it strong, say 3:1. wet the sub layer first, just prior to applying the mortar.
