fitting kitchen base units

I am about to fit a large room with laminate flooring. At one end will be a kitchen.
Should I fit the flooring all the way through and then the kitchen base units on top ? or should I fit the base units and lay the laminate up to the legs ?
The cost difference is very little, but is there a practical reason to prefer one of the options ?

Kitchen first, then floor.

Kitchen first if you plan on changing the finished floor further down the line

Floor first if you want wall to wall coverage more expensive option

TBH it makes no real difference both ways work
and it comes down to personal preference
