I fitted loft boards before Christmas and put them straight on top of insulation. Went up a few weeks later and there was condensation dripping from the roof. Should I have left a gap between boards and insulation
did you fully fill in between all the joist not leaving gaps around the perimitter of the loft along the eaves, so not offering the loft space ventilation.
If you did that's likely to be the cause.
So remove the insulation around the eaves, so air can get in. Also don't board out, over this space, you need air to get in to the loft.
Hopefully that should resolve the problem.
I assume that the slooping roof in the loft has not been insulated!
