Fitting new doorway into garage

I want to fit a side door to my garage, can anybody advise me about what it involves? The garage wall is constructed of a single skin of bricks with a pitched tiled roof. What sort of support do I need to put over the cutout in the brickwork?

you would just need to fit a pre-stressed concrete lintel over the new opening, fit a doorframe and door job done.
