fitting new electric hob

hi there i previously has gas oven/hob just bought new elec oven/hob but the oven came with flex/plus on the oven to plug in, but the hob did not have anything, can i just fit a wire/plug to it and plug in or does it have to be wired inti the fuse-box

No, you must follow the manufacturers instruction or IEE wiring requirements if instruction do not detail.
The output power of the hob would be required, to calculate what flex, cables, fuse are safe to be used to supply the hob.
