I am looking to install a new ceiling light which is class 2. In the ceiling I currently have 1 terminal block which has live, neutral and earth going into it. There is another terminal block which has just live. I'm assuming the neutral supply connects to the neutral light fitting. Which live do I connect? And no earth is required since it's class 2? Lastly, what type of wires do I use to make the connections?

The black wire with the red sleeve is your switched live and goes to the fitting along with the neutral and earth wires. The reds stay as they are and do not connect to the fitting at all.

Thanks. So I can take the switched live and and neutral out from the block and take it direct to the light fitting? And then leave the earth in the block as the the light fitting has no earth?
