Hi all,
If I'm fitting oak skirting, and I screw and plug them, does this mean that I'll have to finish them after they're on the wall? I'm guessing that the process is:
1. Cut the boards to size
2. Sand and stain the boards
3. Drill the screw holes
4. Screw the boards to the wall
5. Cut the plugs from similarly-patterned and stained board offcuts
6. Glue in the plugs
7. Sand the plugs flush
8. Apply varnish / oil to whole board
Is that right?
Thanks all,
Russ
