The main telephone socket to our house is in the living room, and we'd like a second socket fitted in the master bedroom, directly above. We would like the cable to be routed externally (quality cable appears to be available cheaply here: http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CAEXGPO5.html ). As I understand it, it will be necessary to plug the cable into the master socket as though it were a normal telephone device.
The problem is that, since the cable I'm looking at is five-pair, wont it look unsightly for a big monsterous black cable to come in through the wall, baring its inner cores and leaving two pairs flailing around for all to see? What would you do?
