hey I'm fitting a shower pod. I have a problem connecting the waste as it wont accpt a trap as it isn't big enough to accpt the lip that there is after the rubber. I thinkin of cutting this lip off so the rubber wil sit up to the waste. Will this seal

I dont have a camera sorry I think its sealed have tested it, however I can only gt water out of one of the shower heads theres 3 different shower heads bt all plumbed in to a central point. Any ideas why this could be.
