Hi all, new to the forum and fitting floors so any help would be most appreciated.
I recently bought some cheap solid wood floor from an internet site which is Florence Solid Rustic Oak Flooring Lacquered and now need some advice how to lay it. The instructions are focussed on a concrete sub-floor which is not helping me as I would like to lay it on my ground floor which is wooden floorboards. I am aware of the secret nailing method but I am wondering can I use a floating method of just gluing the tongue and grooves with PVA (flooring edition) or using the adhesive underlay you can get from Homebase? I know engineered flooring can be floated but what about solid wood flooring?
Also do I need to lay underlay for damp proofing etc and if so, what type?
any advice would be appreciated
